Clients often have an immediate requirement to resolve a challenge – such as produce meaningful management accounts on time, or to turnaround the business through generating more cash or improving profits.

To achieve this means that the people within the financial function, as well as the systems, need to be working efficiently.

Sometimes the need is to quickly replace a vacant position or bring in additional skills to help the senior team run the financial side of the business.

Other times it is to direct the existing financial resource to improve their performance and decision making.

Through working closely with your senior team and existing financial team (whether in-house or outsourced) we improve financial rigour, productivity and compliance.

We oversee the preparation of payroll, VAT returns, share schemes and other HMRC obligations. Sometimes we also oversee other external providers such as in IT and HR.

Of course, we manage the preparation of annual financial statements and corporation tax compliance, liaising with external accountants and auditors.

We also build relationships with bankers, financiers and other professionals to support your plans and help with debt finance and grants.

Compliance may also include a company secretarial role to deal with:

  • Notices of general meetings
  • Companies house filings
  • Maintaining company statutory registers
  • Share register monitoring
  • Maintaining related party register, insiders register and any other AIM-related registers
  • Ensuring compliance with articles of association.
